There’s something to say about a game that has gotten lots of awards and nominations way before it even hits the market but that’s what has happened with Driver San Francisco From Ubisoft Reflections. Considering the awards it has received so far, it certainly is eligible to make it into our Top 10 driving PC games, and we think with good reason too!

This game has a list of creative talent and engineering that looks like a major motion picture. It’s part of the Driver series and is designed for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS. Driver San Francisco is due out on August 30, 2011 in North America and September 2, 2011 in Europe.

This game is a monster. It was in development for years on end. That was due to legal issues and administrative things but in the end, Ubisoft has delivered a game that should be talked about for years to come. Following the series you get to play as Tanner but after a series of events, that are best left to secrecy so as not to dish out any spoilers. All we can say is it picks up after Driv3r.

The environment of San Francisco is huge with about 208 miles of road to travel along and that includes areas of nearby Marin County and the city of Oakland. Seeing as you can use guns and get into major battle action you can tell right now this is going to be an awesome driving game. You’ll see lots of new cars in the mix with over 120 vehicles, all real cars including such favorites as the Lamborghini,  Astin Martin, and Alfa Romeo.

There’s nothing like driving these hot cars through the streets of a city at high speed while blasting away at your enemies! San Francisco is a city that has steep hills that are world famous. Trying to drive at high speed through the city would be like driving on a roller coaster with people and houses on it. In the real world you don’t hear about many high speed chases through San Francisco for this reason alone. However in this game you go for broke and you do it to a great script, excellent graphics, brilliant direction and design and an audio development at the famous Pinewood Studios which does major theatrical scoring.

In addition, the series is so popular that there’s a comic book mini-series being published by Wildstorm Productions. Fans and newbies have to get the entire package. This is more like an event than a video game which is why it’s a must have for anyone who wants the latest state of the art driver action video game experience. Needless to say this game is sick and is easily a Top 10 Driving Game for the PC lovers out there.

There are tons of missions to do, challenges, and the wildest street car racing and mayhem you could ever want to experience. All this and you still have to go up against your nemesis Jericho. Doing detective work while peeling tire and tearing up the streets is what this game is about and it does so with mega quality. Some of the other goodies are unlocking adventures and missions that feature clips and challenges based on famous televisions shows.

All in all this game is beyond the argument or debate about if it’s quality and is definitely worth a purchase. Driver San Francisco has so much to offer and is created by an army of the top talent in video games, music, and more that it’s like a tutorial in talent. Not long to go until we find out if it becomes one of the Top 10 PC games, or one of the best.
