Coming later this year in October from EA Digital Illusions CE is the much anticipated Battlefield 3. It has the Frostbite 2 engine and is ready for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. This first-person shooter is due out next year and from the looks of it, it lives up to its predecessors and more. We cant wait to see if it enters our Top 10 PC games as it certainly has the promise of doing so.

This 11th foray into the world of the Battlefield franchise is sure to satisfy and delight fans for quite a long time. It’s huge with maps of several cities that you would think would eat up hard drive’s disc space considering we’re talking New york, Wake Island, Sarajevo, Tehran, Paris, and Oman. Can you imagine the amount of wild adventure waiting as you make your way through all these cities kickin’ butt and takin’ names?

The story takes us to 2014 where you play as U.S. Marines Sgt. Miller and Sgt. Henry ‘Black’ Blackburn. It’s chaos from the start as you as Blackburn have to deal with a massive earthquake in Iran and using your five man squad to solve problems and kick tail.

You will be knocked off your feet with the gameplay graphics and gameplay. At first it looks like a news crew is filming real soldiers in Iraq/Iran. If it wasn’t for the indicator graphics showing ammo, life meters etc, you would think it was the news. This is an awesome, and we mean, awesome piece of development that is an instant grabber.

Even if you don’t like military games you have got to get this one just to see how games should be produced. If you’ve seen the trailer you know what we are talking about. It certainly looks to be a promising edition for our Top 10 PC games of 2011 once released, maybe even one of the best PC games, only time will tell.

You just want to jump into the game right away which makes it all the more torture that you have to wait until 2012 to get it. This is just the single player mode mind. The  Multi Player must be so off the hook that guys and gals alike will be online day and night playing this game.

The AI is scary, especially with this Frostbite 2 Engine. You know the developers had a party adding as much to this game as possible. In the trailer you see the demonstration on how your squad has to take out a sniper with a .50

Those guns can turn a man into hamburger. You can see how rounds from the sniper are knocking chunks of concrete loose. Your squad tracks him down and you use an RPG to take out half the building the sniper is in.

You will see people fighting each other to get this game and for good reason. You not only get to learn about the weapons and how to use them but you also get to do some hand to hand combat. Nothing like punching people you hate in the face repeatedly before mowing down their evil henchmen with clouds of blood wafting through the air. It’s total mayhem happening here with all the explosions and realistic action you would expect from this franchise.

It’s obvious from the fan reviews and debates that they see more to this game than the developers are currently letting on. They know they have to compete with the other companies our there to make one the Top 10 PC games of the year, and there’s no telling what surprises are inside this game waiting for us upon release.

EA reportedly spent $100 million just to market this game! Holy cow! That’s Hollywood blockbuster movie money. It’s because they know that this game will live up to and surpass previous versions. Anyone pre-ordering the game gets access to a DLC entitled “Back To Karkland” and in addition expansion packs and other goodies that have been imported from BF2 will be able to work with the Frostbite 2 engine.

Is that enough? Aren’t you ready to get the game now?  Get it while the exclusive extra content is still good as you don’t know what other additions are hidden in there!

We cant wait for Battlefield 3 to be released for the PC later this year. It certainly looks like it has the potential to enter out Top 10 PC games chart, and thankfully we don’t have too long to wait to find out!
