First of all, if you watch the director’s cut trailer for this game you might think you’re looking at a feature film. It shows what appears to be some old Dutch physicians examining some arcane visceral dude on a table.  That’s all history lesson cool and what not, but it’s when the body on the table starts glowing, rises up and turns into a bird, angel light dude and flies off into the sky that you realize you might want to sit back and check yourself and ask if you have the guts to go on.

The cinematic trailer for this game developed by Eidos Studios Montreal is one of the best ever created. That’s because there is a level of quality and craftsmanship that sets this game far and above the rest. We’re not talking just looking good, but an in depth sense of style and development that raises the bar for these first person shooters.

Now, the lead character is a cyborg with arms that turn into a series of weapons and we’re talking major killing spree action here. Guns, grenades, swords and other creations, coming out of his arms and a head grip take down that is the selling point. Cool ways to kill bad guys is always a great selling point.

Add to that graphics that are superb, a menu for weapons and strategy that may be a bit high on the learning curve but when you get your A Game on you’ll be able to look good at destroying lots of stuff.

Lots of games have kick butt trailers but then the gameplay looks like crap. Not so with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The gameplay looks just like the cinematic trailer if not better!

You can tell this game was developed by gamers who hate rotten games dressed up in pretty trailers and promo. This is a robust monster and is definitely the forerunner for Game of the Year, although that’s going to be decided when Batman: Arkham City comes out later this year. Will both games be able to make it into our list of the best, Top 10 PC games, or will one rise where the other falls?

Mind you, this third installment in the Deus Ex series is the prequel to the first two games. Had the first two games been like this one there would have been a whole new world to gaming. So again this time around the story takes place in 2027. Unlike the earlier versions you can augment your cybernetic weapons and that’s going to be lots of studying as the menu board looks like something from the final exam at developer genius school of hard knocks. If this game can be modded on the PC it will outsell everything else on the market.

The AI of this game is not to be sneezed at. It’s using the best of the bunch to keep enemies on your trail and ready to initiate the kinds of strategies that will react to the most minor decision or action you take whilst engaging. That means you have to be so on your toes as the protagonist Adam Jensen that you’ll need to study, seriously study, every mechanical cyberpunk thing he can attach to his body as he goes through the five cities in the game.  That’s five huge cities you get to travel through, fight, learn, strategize and more.

Again, this game is something that makes other games look weak by comparison. Mind you there are some awesome games that are on par with Deux Ex Human Revolution but they are few and far between. This game is money well spent as there is no way you can play this game and run out of cool stuff to do for years and years on end. That’s what gaming fans want. Replay-ability. Bang for buck this PC game should be a killer. We cant wait for Deus Ex Human Revolution to be released at which point we will review the game further and see if it can make it into our Top 10 PC Games of 2012.
