Forget about the rest of the PC games coming out in 2011, this game Saints Row The Third, is totally insane and sure looks to be a contender for our best PC games of the year.
If there is a game out there as rude, cruel, sadistic, and vulgar as this one is then it would be a surprise to us. There is no end to the violence, crime, slapstick comedy and outright mayhem that this game has in store for you. It’s not just some crime drama game, but it is so over the top it upends the rest of the PC games out there.
Fans of the first two games won’t be disappointed as the storyline follows up on the Third Street Saints and their criminal empire. You’ll be in familiar territory, but not so familiar that you won’t be fully entertained. If you just walk up to gamers and ask them, “Have you seen Saints Row The Third?” you will hear them roar out guttural sounds, groans of nausea, shouts of astonishment and howls of warning, because it is totally unbelievable that the publisher could get away with this. No wonder the Supreme Court decisions regarding violence in video games came about. It’s probably because of this game alone!
It’s the third and final in the series, sees the Saints gang in control of the city of Steelport, after being run out of their previous turf by a bigger gang. There is all sorts of plot and storyline depth but that’s not what this game highlights, as although it has tons of missions and sub missions that are so detailed that no two gameplays should be alike It has comic violence, and player customizing options that will make this game the must have PC game for 2011
You could literally have Saints Row The Third parties where people show up and create untold mayhem and havoc on the poor citizens of Steelport. This game has gun play, robberies, assaults, hot racing through the streets where you run over people, peel tire, do drive bys, and there’s even tanks and a vertical takeoff jet that fires missiles destroying everything in its path. You have to love that kind of action!
The game is so popular even before its launch that there has been talk and negotiations about a major motion picture. We are talking just beyond insane game play and physics. One of the gags is a truck that sucks people up like a vacuum cleaner and fires them off through a big canon on top of it. The people get shot out and fall to their doom, or get splattered into the walls of nearby buildings.
Talking about splattering, there is a combat option called Apocafists or some such that makes your fists giant sized so that you can walk up to people on the street and punch them with such force that they explode into a cloud of bloody goo. That’s totally sick and is a feature that is sure to have this game as one of, if not the top 10 PC games of the year.
It’s all a sandbox environment, so there is lots of territory to explore and stuff to destroy and people to maim and kill. The rival gangs have no idea of what you will be capable of, until of course you’ve called in an air strike missiles that sends bodies flying all over the place. That should get the picture across rather well we think!
Saints Row The Third eclipses the previous games and thanks to developer Volition, Inc., the CTG Engine and Havok Physics, this third-person shooter is going to set a new standard for the kind of violent mayhem in video games for years to come.
Saints Row The Third is being released on November 15, 2011 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 and we cant wait to see if it makes it into our Top 10 PC games list before the year is out. The one thing we are waiting to see is if this game can be modded or not as this will add to the replay value. If so this will be the stress relieving game of all time. Imagine being able to put your ex-wife’s picture on one of the npcs and punch her so hard she explodes into goo. The suspense is too great.
