Set in the year 2034, Metro Last Light is the latest game of the series from 4A Games and publisher THQ. It’s developed for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Back in Moscow Metro, players will engage the bad guys as Artyom the hero of the day in the series. Those familiar with the game know that in the last round, Metro 2033 Artyom had engaged the Dark Ones in an all out knock down, drag out fight. So the action picks up in this first-person shooter and from the look of the graphics and gameplay, fans won’t be disappointed nor will newbies who set foot into this dark world of chaos and combat.

The two trailers released, the cinematic and the gameplay, offer tidbits of what to expect but so far it looks like any other first-person shooter but the unique quality isn’t the weapons choices, but in the design work done. You can tell from the outset that the design work was done to maximize the atmosphere of the game and give it an unique feel. That’s a good foundation from which to build the game out of.

Again, the story picks up after the last game but further details are sketchy but we do know that there are mutants many, Nazi factions, and its 2012 release is going to keep fans and the curious on the edge of their seats until then.

One can only imagine what this game is going to have as the developers are being so secretive about the plot and storyline. That leaves it up to fans to look at what has been released in promotional material and what the developers don’t say, one can make SWAG about what to expect.

The game will have both single and multiplayer action and will incorporate more strategy and weapons during the action sequences. Fans are speculating all over the message boards what they feel the game should have and that means the game has got a lot of hype and speculation to live up to.

First it has to satisfy its existing fan base. Alienating them would mean catastrophe. Second, it has to bring a greater challenge and gameplay environment that fans are familiar with but won’t get bored with. In addition it can’t be so fan oriented that new players get lost, feeling like they’re in someone’s house without permission.

As of now, fans are anxiously waiting for the release of Metro: Last Light after it had been pushed back by the developers to iron out all the bugs within the game. We anxiously await to see if once released it can make it into our Top 10 PC games list.

Every now and then one game comes along with that quirky thing that just grabs the players and soon becomes a household name. That’s generally what happened when the original PC Metro 2033 game was released. It surprised gamers who didn’t know what it was about, but had enough unique gameplay and design to keep them interested and build up quite the strong fan base. With that said the latest version has got a lot to live up to. Top 10 PC Games will be back to review Metro Last light once released.
